I love this new blog. I think it will be fascinating to hear angel stories. I believe they are around us.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cathy. I'm excited to see what comes this way, as well!
DeleteThank you for commenting, Cathy - and I completely agree! I'm so excited to hear all the stories I hope will be coming in.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed. I think Delia knows this. My doctor scheduled some X-rays when nobody even me LOL realized I was pregnant. The nurse even advised me to wait for the procedure until I was having my period. I was so sure I wasn't...while I undressed into my hospital gown, a voice clearly said, "don't do this." I looked all around, even to the ceiling. Nobody. I knew right away I had been visited by an angel.
ReplyDeleteI quickly got dressed and told the nurse I was outta there. About 8 months later, my husband and I welcomed our healthy baby girl. Praise God!
Oh my goodness, Tanya! What an amazing story!!!
DeleteTanya, I'm so happy you didn't ignore the voice. Others might have done so.
DeleteI still get chills when I hear that story, Tanya...isn't God AWESOME??? :)
ReplyDeleteSeen or heard, no. But I believe angel wings supported the conversion van I was driving years ago...long before seat belts were the norm. I met a semi on the highway, swerved onto black ice in its wake, did a 180, and landed straddling the opposite ditch. When the van went into its skid, I reacted by flattening my arm across my toddler daughter, who was STANDING in the other captain's seat. There may have been another angel inside giving strength to my arm and keeping her from flying. God alone knows, but I will always believe.
ReplyDeleteI believe it too, LoRee! Only God and the army of protection He provides us every day could have prevented disaster...or death in the situation you describe.I'm so glad His angels were on the ball that day! :)
DeleteWow, LoRee, your story gave me chills. Yes, I believe in angels!
ReplyDeleteHi ladies, and beautiful website! What a GREAT idea! I shared my angel story on another blog and Delia asked me to share it here, so away we go... When I was a little girl (about eight, I think), I was wading in a creek in the Smoky Mountains. I went in pursuit of a runaway flip flop, of all things, and got caught up in the swift-running current. I remember being terrified as I was being carried further down the creek. A man suddenly appeared (yes, seemingly from nowhere) and pulled me out of the creek. He put me down on the banks and patted my head. I remember he had a very kind face but he didn't say anything to me. I heard my mother screaming for me, and my brother was running alongside her. When I turned back to thank the man, he was gone. Our God is so awesome and I'll always believe he was an angel sent to protect me. Blessings, friends!
ReplyDeleteLove this story, JoAnn! Thank you so much for sharing with us here. :)
DeleteMy mother fell from a ladder two days ago, backwards. She said she felt arms come around her and flip her on her side. The day after it happened, my daily Bible verse was Hebrews 13:2, confirming an uncontrollable thought that an angel had been involved.
ReplyDeleteHey, Jayna - thanks for sharing! What a beautiful example of angels watching over us. (I'm so glad your mother is OK!)
DeleteMany years ago my aunt, grandmother, and two cousins were in a very bad roll over wreck. My Nana and little cousin were ejected from the Bronco, despite their seat belts still being latched. My older cousin, Leah, was able to get out of the vehicle to look for her sister and grandmother. There was a man there already, and he helped her search to find them and make sure they were okay. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt that had a smiley-face and the words, "Smile! God loves you!" on it. After they found my cousin and Nana, Leah stood up and turned around to tell the man thank you, and he was gone. Just gone. No one around, cars buzzing by on the highway, no one had even stopped to help yet.
ReplyDeleteWe are utterly convinced it was an angel, and I have no doubt God protected my family that day. They weren't uninjured, but they did live, which is amazing after the Bronco rolled three times and they were thrown from the vehicle with enough force that seat belts didn't stop them.
What a wonderful testimony...and another amazing example of God's messengers being there when we need them most. Thank you so much for sharing!
