A-Z Blog Challenge Begins April 1st!

Heart's Haven will participate in the annual A-Z Blog Challenge, starting tomorrow - April 1st. Every day during April, we will post a blog subject beginning with the letter of the alphabet related to that day, beginning with the letter "A."

Hmm...I wonder what subject could possibly start with "A", that Heart's Haveners would be excited to talk about?

Any ideas? :D

Christmas is coming...

OK, OK...I do know we just got through Christmas 2012. But Christmas 2013 is coming, and with it a special Heart's Haven holiday short story called A Cowboy Christmas. I was so excited about the opportunity to write this story with Tanya Stowe, and because I've just sent back the 2nd-round edits on it, I'm jazzed all over again. Tanya has a wonderful Christmas story already - check out White Christmas. But A Cowboy Christmas is my first-ever holiday tale. So fun!

Angelina Dreams

I've been having such a wonderful time with Heart's Haven. We've met so many beautiful readers through the Facebook page, and you all just feel like family. We're so enjoying interacting with all of you there, during the Book Release Days.

And the Book Fairs! We hope you're enjoying them as much as we are. Question: What could we do to make them more interesting for you, more fun...and make you more likely to bring all your friends and show up every time? We really want to know...

You know what would be just too cool? Imagine this: A beautiful old Bed & Breakfast, someplace around the Angelina National Forest in East Texas, just waiting to welcome all four Heart's Haven authors for a writer's retreat. Know what would make it even more awesome? Having a day or two set aside for readers to join us, if they'd like. Sound like fun? Yeah, I think so too. (((Sigh))) Aren't dreams wonderful? :)

But who knows? Stranger things have happened..

What's Heart's Haven?

Angel Falls. A sweet little fictional town in East Texas, tucked right up against the gorgeous (and very real) Angelina National Forest. Just outside Angel Falls is a piece of property owned by a crotchety bachelor named Andrew Hart. This taciturn elderly gentleman has a reputation...folks think he sees angels. Talks with them too. Hart's not about to verify that rumor, but then, he doesn't deny it either.

Hanging above the big double gates that front Hart's property, a rustic wooden sign catches the eye of passers by. The sign reads: HEART'S HAVEN. It is said there's a story behind that sign...

On the land backing Hart's huge home, he has built eight small cottages, arranged loosely in the shape of a heart - if one were to look down on the complex from above, that's what they'd see. Seems the old guy has a bit of romance in his bones!

Each unit is fronted by a gate, over which curves a trellised arch. In season, luscious flowers grace the arch. But even when the flowers die out for the year, a pretty little sign hangs above each gate. MAY LOVE FIND ALL WHO ENTER HERE, it proclaims. They're words old Hart borrowed from his grandmother, Lily Hart's hand-stitched tapestry. Lily must have prayed over every stitch, because it is a fact that love almost always does find folks brave enough to pass through the gates of HEART'S HAVEN.

And that, in a nutshell, is the concept behind the Heart's Haven collections of romance novelettes from White Rose Publishing (a division of Pelican Book Group). Each collection of four sweet romance stories is written by the four-author writing team made up of: Delia Latham, Marianne Evans, Tanya Stowe, and Mary Manners.
